XTS’s surface finishing equipment is capable of delivering virtually any type of surface finish required by today’s 3D print or Additive Manufacturer. Smoothing over product striation lines, removing any excess or loosely adhered ceramic or metal particles from laser melted titanium parts and providing a more paint or coating receptive surface on FDM plastic prototypes by removing the smooth shine and replacing it with a finely controlled textured surface that improves subsequent adhesion on the 3D printed prototypes.
Specifically devised for the Additive Manufacturing (AM) market are Guyson's Euroblast® 4SF and 6SF (Suction Fed) finishing stations. These particular systems, have been designed specifically for the surface finishing of Stainless, Aluminium, Titanium or Inconel built components which often used in aerospace and medical AM sectors. Some of these exotic materials have the potential to create explosive dust when blasted, so special provision has been made with these XTS finishing stations to mitigate those risks.
The XTS ‘AM’ finishing station can be specified with a variety of options that can be chosen, appropriate to the level of perceived risk involved, options including: full earth braiding to the cabinet, gun, dust collector and hose and include ground nuts on all the main contact points to prevent any static spark generation and also anti-static fabric gauntlets to allows the operator greater flexibility when blasting whilst preventing media escape. Also externally located LED lighting, for good illumination of the blast area, so as to not create any chance of a spark within the blast chamber.
The XTS AM finishing stations are complemented with a new range of Additive Manufacturing specified dust collectors.
