This new smart thermometer is loaded with features found only in innovative ThermoWorks products. Advanced thermocouple technology, intelligent backlit display, Super-Fast reduced tip probe for 3-second temperature readings, and best-in-class accuracy make the TempTest 2 the ideal tool where temperature is important.
TempTest 2 has a button-less, Smart backlight that turns on automatically to read digits in low light conditions. A built-in sensor constantly monitors ambient light levels and switches the backlight on when needed. It's on when you need it, off when you don't.
With a Super-Fast reduced-tip penetration probe, the same used on the Thermapen, you'll get readings in 3 seconds or less. Measure with an accuracy to ±0.7°F (±0.4°C) and cover a full range from -58 to 572°F (-50 to 300°C).
Rotate the display to the best viewing angle without pressing a button. The display rotates in 90° degree increments to read temperature in any position and in either hand. (US Patent Pending US 2014/0044147 UK Patent Pending GB 2504936)
TempTest 2 is designed for commercial use with a waterproof IP67 rated housing and optional rubber boots for drop protection. The tight-fitting silicone boots are color coded for food safety and cross contamination protection. Splashes and inadvertent drops in the sink are no problem.
