Metal medical devices and implants are subjected to contaminants such as metal debris, polishing compounds, grinding fluids and general handling soil that remain on the surface, during the manufacture process.
Ultrasonic cleaning uses ultrasound and an appropriate cleaning solvent to clean delicate items. An ultrasonic cleaning device can also be used with only water but use of a sol-vent appropriate for the item enhances the effect and shortens cycle time in most cases. Ultrasonic cleaners are used to clean many different types of objects and are relatively safe to use on most surfaces.
