Deskripsyon
Timing of Examination:
- Between gestational age of week 18 and week 24.
Preparation:
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Drink a lot of clear fluid and hold the bladder at least one hour before the scanning.
Aim:
- To assess the gross fetal morphologies, inclusive of fetal head, face, heart, chest, abdomen, limbs, bladder, kidneys, and spine. In addition, the condition of the placenta will be assessed. To identify common fetal conditions such as spina bifida, congenital heart defects, and diaphragmatic hernia.
