Simvastatin
Indication
Hyperlipidemia & cadioheart disease along with dietary control.
Instruction
May be taken with or without food: Avoid excessive consumption (>1 L/day) of grapefruit juice.
Drug interaction
Precipitates more muscular effects with mibefradil, cyclosporine, nefazodone, niacin, azoles antifungals (itraconazole, ketoconazole), macrolide antibiotics (clarithromycin, erythromycin), & fibrates. Potentiates effect of coumarin anticoagulants.
