Ketotifen fumarate
Indication
Prophylactic treatment of bronchial asthma. Symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis, dermatitis, urticaria & pruritus
Instruction
Should be taken with food. Adult & childn >12 yr 1 mg bd. Minimize initial sedation ½ daily dose in 2 divided doses or single dose in evening for 5 days.
Drug interaction
Potentiated effects of sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines & alcohol.
