Ropinirole HCl
Indication
Idiopathic Parkinson's disease. Monotherapy or in combination w/ l-dopa to control ''on-off'' fluctuations & reduce the total daily dose of l-dopa.
Instruction
May be taken with or without food: Take at the same time each day. Swallow whole do not chew/crush/divide.
Drug interaction
Diminished effectiveness by sulpiride or metoclopramide. Increase Cmax & AUC by ciprofloxacin, enoxacin or fluvoxamine. Increased plasma conc w/ high-dose oestrogens. Induced CYP1A2 metabolism by smoking. Caution w/ alcohol.
