Carboplatin
Indication
Advanced ovarian carcinoma of epithelial origin.
Instruction
Iv infusion: 400 mg/m2 as a single IV infusion over 15-60 min. Repeat dose until 4 wk later. CrCl >40 mL/min 400 mg/m2, 20-39 mL/min 250 mg/m2, 0-19 mL/min 150 mg/m2.
Drug interaction
Avoid cumulative toxic effect w/ other myelosuppressive agents by warranting dosage adjustments. Possible renal impairment w/ aminoglycosides or other nephrotoxic drugs. Black precipitate w/ Al.
