Indication
Aid in the suppression of dry irritating coughs day & night.
Instruction
Adult & childn ≥12 yr 5 mL 4-6 hrly. Max dose: 30 mL daily. 6-12 yr 2.5-5 mL 4-6 hrly. Max dose: 30 mL daily.
Drug interaction
Alcohol or other CNS depressants may lead to greater drowsiness & sedation. CNS excitation may occur w/ MAOI therapy. TCAs, antidiarrhoeals, antiperistaltic agents, antihypertensives, diuretics, hydroxyzine, antithyroid agents, levodopa; vasodilators, β-blockers, enzyme inducers. May increase possibility of arrhythmias in digitalised patients. Enhanced CV effects of other sympathomimetic amines.
