Indication
Relief of stomach discomfort eg, indigestion, heartburn due to gastric hyperacidity & peptic ulcer.
Instruction
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 30 min-1 hr after meals. Suck & chew tab before swallowing.
Drug interaction
Reduced absorption of fosinopril, diflusinal, azithromycin, cefpodoxime, ciprofloxacin, INH, nitrofurantoin, norfloxacin, ofloxacin, pivampicillin, rifampicin, tetracyclines, gabapentin, phenytoin, itraconazole, ketoconazole, chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, phenothiazines, biphosphonates, oral Fe, mycophenolate mofetil, penicillamine. Increased alkaline urine excretion of aspirin. Reduced alkaline urine excretion of quinidine. Reduced lithium plasma conc. Dipyridamole.
