Paracetamol
Indication
Mild to moderate pain & fever reduction.
Instruction
Tab Adult & childn >10 yr 325-650 mg 4-6 times daily as necessary. Childn 6-12 yr 150-300 mg qds, 3-6 yr 120 mg qds, 1-3 yr 60-120 mg qds, <1 yr 15-60 mg qds. Max: Not to exceed >8 tab daily.
Drug interaction
Concomitant use of warfarin. Infusion: Reduced clearance w/ probenecid. Prolonged elimination t½ by salicylamide. Concomitant use w/ enzyme-inducing substances.
