Ferrous fumarate 350 mg, folic acid 1 mg, pyridoxine HCl 1.5 mg, cyanocobalamin 5 mcg, ascorbic acid 75 mg, Zn sulphate monohydrate 55 mg
Indication
Fe & nutritional deficiency anaemia, wolun infestation. Prophylaxis against Fe deficiency & megaloblastic anaemia during 2nd & 3rd trimester of pregnancy.
Instruction
Should be taken with food.
Drug interaction
Reduced absorption of penicillamine, tetracycline. Impaired bioavailability of fluoroquinolones, levodopa, carbidopa, thyroxine, bisphosphonates. Reduced absorption by antacids. Interfered metabolism by co-trimoxazole, chloramphenicol, sulphasalazine, aminopterin, methotrexate, pyrimethamine or sulphonamides. Reduced serum levels of anticonvulsants. Delayed plasma clearance by oral chloramphenicol. Inhibition of absorption w/ cholestyramine, trientine, tea, eggs or milk. Increased BP w/ methyldopa. Reduced bioavailability w/ coffee. Altered absorption w/ neomycin.
