Deskripsyon
KTH 750 RED OXIDE PRIMER is fast dry, single component high build alkyd solvent based primer. It is economical and general purpose primer for most general industrial steel structural painting. It has good hiding power and good build; and gives low gloss finishing to painted surfaces. A suitable top-coat should be painted over to enhance the performance of the oxide primer.
Applications
- As a primer in a multi-coat coating system. Most suitable for use in steel, GI and other metal surfaces.
Composition
- Pigment: Red oxide pigment.
- Binder: Modified long oil alkyd resin
- Solvent: Hydrocarbon
Physical Characteristics of the Paint
- Density: 1.23 – 1.29.
- Volume Solid: 65 ± 5%
- Viscosity: 65 ± 5 KU at 30°C
- Coverage: 8 – 11 m2/litre
- Colour: Red oxide.
Coating Properties
- Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 50 - 80 microns per coat
- Recommended Wet Film Thickness: 80 - 125 microns per coat
- Recommended Numbers of coat: Two
- Recommended coating system: 750 Primer / 750 Primer / 9600 High Gloss (5953 HG)
- Drying Time: Touch Dry – 20 minutes, Dry to handle – 2 to 3 hours
- Recoating interval: At least 8 hours
- Curing Time: 24 hours
