Deskripsyon
KTH 785G BLACK OXIDE PRIMER is single component alkyd solvent based primer. It is economical and general purpose primer for most general industrial steel structural painting. It gives smooth and gloss finishing to painted surfaces. However a suitable top-coat should be painted over to enhance the performance of the oxide primer.
Application
- As a primer in a multi-coat coating system. Most suitable for use in steel, GI and other metal surfaces.
Composition
- Pigment: Black pigment.
- Binder: Modified long oil alkyd resin
- Solvent: Hydrocarbon
Physical Characteristics of the Paint
- Density: 0.90 – 0.96.
- Volume Solid: 59 ± 5%
- Viscosity: 63 ± 5 KU at 30°C
- Coverage: 7.5 – 12 m2/litre
- Colour: Black.
Coating Properties
- Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 50 - 80 microns per coat
- Recommended Wet Film Thickness: 85 - 135 microns per coat
- Recommended Numbers of coat: Two
- Recommended coating system:1) 736AC Primer / 785G Primer / 9600 High Gloss (5953 HG) or 2) 785G Primer / 785G Primer / 9600 High Gloss (5953 HG)
- Drying Time: Touch Dry – 20 mins, Dry to handle – 4 to 5 hours
- Recoating interval: At least 16 hours
- Curing Time: 24 hours
