Deskripsyon
KTH 785M BLACK OXIDE PRIMER is single component high build alkyd solvent based primer. It is economical and has fast drying time, thus most suitable for general purpose steel structural work. It gives low gloss finishing to painted surfaces. A suitable top-coat should be painted to enhance the performance of the primer.
Applications
- As primer in a multi-coat coating system. Most suitable for use on steel, GI and others surfaces. Main for general industrial steel painting.
Composition
- Pigment: Carbon black pigment.
- Binder: Modified alkyd resin
- Solvent: Hydrocarbon
Physical Characteristics of the Paint
- Density: 1.23 – 1.29.
- Volume Solid: 68 ± 5%
- Viscosity : 63 ± 5 KU at 30°C
- Theoretical Coverage: 8.5– 13.5 m2/litre
- Colour: Black.
Coating Properties
- Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 50-80 microns per coat
- Recommended Wet Film Thickness: 75 - 120 microns per coat
- Recommended Coating System: 1) AC 750 or AC 736 / 785M / 9600 HG (or 5953 HG) 2) 785M / 701 / 9600 HG (or 5953 HG)
- Recommended Numbers of coat: One to two
- Drying Time: Touch Dry – 15 minutes, Dry to handle – 1 to 2 hours
- Recoating interval: At least 8 hours
- Curing Time: 1 day
