Deskripsyon
KTH MICACEOUS IRON OXIDE is a high performance single component alkyd solvent based paint. It has good protection against general corrosive environment. It gives sparkling metallic low gloss finishing to protected surfaces.
Applications
- As primer for gloss enamel topcoat or it can be used as topcoat in a multi-coat coating system. Most suitable for use on steel surfaces where protection against atmospheric corrosion environment is required.
Composition
- Pigment: Micaceous iron oxide pigment
- Binder: Long oil alkyd resin
- Solvent: Hydrocarbon
Physical Characteristics of the Paint
- Density: 1.34 – 1.38, depending on colours
- Volume Solid: 62 ± 5%
- Viscosity: 70 ± 5 KU at 30°C
- Coverage: 7 – 10 m2 /litre
- Colour: Refer to standard colour chart
Coating Properties
- Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 50-80 microns per coat
- Recommended Numbers of coat: Two
- Drying Time: Touch Dry – 30 mins, Dry to handle – 4 - 6 hours
- Recoating interval: At least 16 hours
- Curing Time: 2 – 3 days
