Biorex Food Diagnostics BXEFT08A Multi-Sulfonamide ELISA
Sulfonamides are a group of synthetic organic compounds that have played an important role as effective chemotherapeutics in bacterial and protozoal infections in veterinary medicine. There is concern over antibiotic resistance to these drugs in the human immune system therefore regulation of its use needs to be monitored. In order to protect consumers from this risk, maximum residue limits and tolerance have been set in many countries. In the EU, Canada and USA the limit has been set for the total sulfonamide concentration should be less than 100ppb in edible tissues.
