Carbon Dioxide is liquified gas which is colorless, odourless, toxic in high concentrations,asphyxiant and has corrosive charecteristics in presence of moisture. Carbon Dioxide is heavier than air and will collect in low lying areas, trenches, drains. At elevated temperatures, the gas reacts with many substances. Carbondioxide is used in:

• For welding carbon and alloy steel and stainless steel with flux cored wires
• Liquid for substrate cooling to control the heat build-up when thermal and plasma spraying
