The Enya ED-X1 uses black richlite for the bridge and fingerboard. Richlite is an incredibly durable, extremely versatile, and highly sustainable material made from resin-infused paper. It performs just as well (acoustically) as natural ebony wood as well as prevents scratches on the fingerboard. The advantage of using the richlite is it does not shrink, warp or twist due to the differences in temperature.
