Indications:

Instructions:
Dosage: The dosage varies depending on the patient's age, weight, and medical condition. It is typically administered by inhalation using a vaporizer specifically designed for isoflurane.
Administration: Isoflurane should be administered only by trained professionals in a controlled medical environment. The concentration of isoflurane should be adjusted to achieve the desired level of anesthesia. Induction usually starts at a concentration of 0.5%, and concentrations of 1.5% to 3.0% typically produce surgical anesthesia within 7 to 10 minutes2.
Maintenance: Adequate anesthesia for surgery may be sustained with an inspired isoflurane concentration of 1.0% to 2.5% in an oxygen/nitrous oxide mixture. Additional isoflurane (0.5% to 1.0%) may be required with lower nitrous oxide levels or when isoflurane is given with oxygen alone.
