Caustic Soda

Caustic soda with an electrolysis process that uses salt, water and electricity. Supplying product to pulp and paper mills, oil refineries, and chemical plants.

Most of our caustic soda is used in the pulp and paper industry to digest wood to make wood pulp. Caustic is also used in the bleaching process to neutralize bleached pulp and to extract colour residues from the bleached pulp. Bleached pulp is subsequently used in the production of printing and writing papers, and packaging for consumer goods.

Caustic soda is also used in municipal water treatment, oil and gas, waste acid neutralization, pH control, caustic scrubbing of off-gases, catalysis, ion exchange regeneration, and on-site generation of sodium hypochlorite.
