NUTMEG GROUND

Ground nutmeg, a brown-colored spice, enhances many foods with its rich flavor. Countless recipes and dishes call for it in combination with other spices like cinnamon, cloves and ginger. It is more common to use nutmeg in seasonal dishes during the fall and winter, although you can certainly enjoy it all year long if you get your creativity on. If possible, use ground nutmeg that has been organically grown. Store it in a cool, dry place away from heat and light.
