Per 5 mL Salbutamol sulfate 1.2 mg, guaifenesin 50 mg
Indication
To relief the viscosity of tenacious sputum; reduce bronchospasm (constriction of the air passages of the lung) and airway resistance in asthmatic people.
Instruction
Adult: 10 to 20ml, two to three times a day.
Children 2 to 6 years: 5 to 10ml, two times a day.
Children 7 to 12 years: 10ml, two times a day
Children >12 years: 10 to 20ml, two times a day
Drug interaction
If you are taking beta-blocking medicines such as propranolol, tell your doctor or pharmacist. Concurrent use with corticosteroids may exacerbate the adverse effect of salbutamol, propranolol and other beta-blockers may oppose the effect of salbutamol. Concomitant administration of aminophylline or other xanthines may enhance the effect of salbutamol. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are taking any other products (such as over the counter medicines, prescribed medicines and herbal products).
