Wuliangye is a type of Chinese baijiu that uses five grains, hence the name ‘Five Grains Liquid’ : sorghum, rice, glutinous rice, wheat and corn as its base ingredients, along with spring water. Made in Yibin in the Sichuan Province, the clear spirit was made using fermentation and distillation methods that have been around for over 600 years. The resulting spirit has aromas of light flowers and toasted nuts, with notes of pineapple, licorice, and meadow grass on the palate.
