Instructions for Use:
Handling:
- Handle the diodes with care to avoid mechanical damage.
- Avoid touching the leads or body directly to prevent static discharge.
Soldering:
- Preheat the PCB to 100掳C to 150掳C before soldering.
- Use a soldering iron with a temperature setting of 300掳C to 350掳C.
- Solder each lead for no more than 3 seconds to prevent thermal stress.
- Allow the diodes to cool naturally after soldering.
Mounting:
- Ensure the diodes are mounted with the correct polarity.
- Align the cathode (marked with a band) with the corresponding PCB pad.
- Secure the diodes firmly to the PCB to ensure good electrical contact.
Storage:
- Store the diodes in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep them in their original packaging until ready for use to protect against moisture and static.
Testing:
- Test the diodes using a multimeter set to the diode test mode.
- A forward-biased diode should show a voltage drop close to the specified Vf.
- A reverse-biased diode should show an open circuit.
