Instructions for Using the INA126U
Power Supply Connection:
- Connect the positive supply voltage (VS+) and negative supply voltage (VS-) to the respective pins. Ensure the supply voltage is within the specified range of 2.7V to 36V.
Input Configuration:
- Connect the input signals to the inverting (-) and non-inverting (+) input pins. The common-mode input voltage should be within the operational range of the device.
Gain Setting:
- The gain can be adjusted using an external resistor (RG). For infinite gain, leave RG open. For finite gain, connect a resistor between the RG pin and ground.
Output Configuration:
- The output voltage will swing within ±1.2V to ±1.5V of the supply rails. Connect the output pin to your load or next stage amplifier as required.
Biasing and Decoupling:
- Use appropriate bypass capacitors close to the power supply pins to ensure stability and reduce noise. Typically, a 0.1μF capacitor is recommended.
Temperature Considerations:
- Ensure that the operating temperature remains within the specified limits to maintain performance parameters like input offset voltage and bias current.
Handling Precautions:
- Handle the device with care to avoid damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD). Follow standard ESD precautions when handling sensitive components.
