Instructions
Power Supply Connection:
- Connect VDD to a power supply between 2.8V and 5.5V.
- GND should be connected to the system ground.
1-Wire Bus Connection:
- Connect the 1-Wire data line (DQ) to the host microcontroller or other 1-Wire master device.
- Ensure proper pull-up resistor on the 1-Wire bus, typically 4.7kΩ to VDD.
Initialization:
- Before any communication, initialize the 1-Wire bus using the standard reset/presence detect sequence.
- After successful initialization, issue a Match ROM command followed by the unique 64-bit address of the DS2432 to select it for communication.
Memory Access:
- Use Read Memory and Write Memory commands to access the EEPROM.
- Data integrity is ensured by writing and reading back the data.
SHA-1 Engine Usage:
- To use the SHA-1 engine for secure operations, prepare the message block in the EEPROM.
- Execute the SHA-1 command to compute the hash.
- Retrieve the hash result from the device memory.
Error Handling:
- Monitor the status bits returned by the device after each command execution.
- Retry failed operations as necessary, ensuring correct timing and protocol adherence.
Power Management:
- The device automatically enters low-power mode when idle.
- Active mode is entered only during command execution.
Programming Tools:
- Use compatible 1-Wire programming tools or software libraries for easier integration into your application.
