Instructions for ADS1230
Power Supply Configuration:
- Connect the VDD pin to a power supply within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
- Ensure that the AGND and AVDD are properly connected to ground and power supply respectively.
Input Signal Connection:
- Connect the input signal to the AINP and AINM pins ensuring the voltage stays within the specified input voltage range.
- The common mode voltage should be between AGND and AVDD.
Configuration via SPI Interface:
- Use the SPI interface to configure the device settings such as output data rate, gain, and operating modes.
- Refer to the datasheet for specific register configurations.
Data Acquisition:
- After configuring, initiate a conversion by setting the appropriate command via the SPI interface.
- Read the output data from the device at the configured output data rate.
Power Management:
- To reduce power consumption, put the device into power-down mode when not in use.
- In power-down mode, the current consumption is minimized.
Reading Output Data:
- The output data can be read serially through the SPI interface.
- Ensure the timing and protocol adherence as specified in the datasheet.
For detailed information on specific commands and register settings, refer to the ADS1230 datasheet provided by Texas Instruments.
