The Carrier ZS line of communicating clamp-on strap sensors are designed to monitor water temperature in retrofit or filled pipe applications. These sensors have a bendable copper sensing plate that forms to the curvature of the pipe, along with an adjustable hose clamp that holds the unit in place around the pipe. They measure the water temperature by sensing the surface temperature of the pipe.
The ZS clamp-on strap sensors connect directly to the dedicated sensor network (Rnet) of a Carrier i-Vu controller. This communicating sensor network supports up to 15 ZS sensors through a single port, eliminating the need to consume multiple inputs on the controller.
