Montelukast Na
Indication
Prophylaxis & chronic treatment of asthma in adults ≥15 yr & ped ≥2 yr. Symptomatic relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults & ped ≥2 yr.
Instruction
May be taken with or without food.
Drug interaction
Elevated plasma conc w/ gemfibrozil. Severe peripheral edema w/ prednisone. Increased repaglinide plasma conc. Concomitant use w/ CYP3A4 inducers eg, phenytoin, phenobarb & rifampicin.
