Introduction

This 2-day training is designed to give participants a compact view of effective email communication, its scope and importance in business, and the role of communication in establishing a favorable internal and external business environment. The focus is on business email writing. This course also develops an awareness of the importance of grammar, and written expression where the right choice of words, formal words & positive styles of writing works to your business advantage. This program is interactive, active based, and interesting to enhance the teaching and learning outcomes.

Module 1: Facing Today's Communication Challenges - Think Long Term

Objective: Identifying. Understanding and Adapting to the 4 major styles of communication whilst applying them in business email writing skills

Module 2: Writing for Business Email Audiences - Grammar Basics, Better & Right Choice of Words, Formal vs Informal Words

Objective: Minimising mistakes by learning to edit words & sentences to match the intended message and to respond to clients' enquiries

Module 3: Improving Email Writing Styles - How NLP Improves Your Drafting Skills

Objective: Applying Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) to the 4 major styles of writing by mirroring and applying reverse psychology to your writing skills

Module 4: Revising and Proofreading Business Email Writings - Image and Legal Implications

Objective: Learning skills to edit through the elimination of wordiness, overcoming confused and misspelled words, and rephrasing sentences from passive to active.

Module 5: E-Mails - Why You Should Care?

Objective: Effectively utilizing emails to address issues and create interest among the readers so as to respond accordingly.

Module 6: Routine Email Situations - Enquiry, Request, Invitation Emails

Objective: Varying the appeal to recipients, through writing styles by wording letters and the right choice of words in an interesting yet productive manner.

Module 7: Persuasive Emails - Choices of Words and Structure of Sentences Matter

Objective: Learning to write persuasive emails by applying NLP.

Module 8: Drafting & Responding to Complaint Emails - Turning Negative Messages into Positive Messages - Building Relationship

Objective: Learning to identify negative words or phrases and rephrasing them positively either when receiving or sending.

Post Assessment

Objective: To assess the level of understanding and applying of styles through the effective use of the English language in Business email communication.
