Being an export-oriented country, Malaysia is extremely vulnerable to the increasing emphasis of LCA by global trading communities, especially developed countries such as the EU countries, United States, Japan, South Korea, Australia etc.
LCA helps companies in quantifying the environmental and social impact of their products. With the increasing public awareness on the environment and social issues and the product-labelling requirement in developed countries, the consumption pattern has changed, driving the companies to disclose the environmental and social impact of their products.
