The Darimo Carbon MTB handlebar is the result of countless calculations and tests until it broke in order to achieve a record weight of 98g with a width of 740mm.
This handlebar is made entirely of carbon with a unique arrangement and orientation of the individual plies to achieve the best weight-stiffness-durability ratio. This type of production can only be realized by 100% manual work because each width has its own load-related arrangement of the layers. The handlebar passed the ISO 4210 test, but there is still a weight limit of 90kg for the driver including clothing and luggage. In tests up to breakage, loads in excess of 350 kg were required.
The 31.8 mm handlebar clamp is suitable for current oversize stems. Darimo recommends a 4-screw clamp with a maximum width of 50 mm. Furthermore, all Darimo handlebars have a reinforcement at the end of the handlebars to minimize the risk of damage in the event of a fall.
