Indication:
Emecon Syrup is indicated for the prevention of delayed chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) and radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (RINV). It is also used for the symptomatic treatment of nausea and vomiting, including acute migraine-induced nausea and vomiting.
Instructions:
- Dosage: The recommended dose for adults is 10mg (2 teaspoonfuls) up to three times daily, with a maximum daily dose of 30mg. For children aged 5-9 years, the dose is 2.5mg (1/2 teaspoonful) up to three times daily.
- Administration: Take the syrup orally with water. It should be taken at intervals of at least 6 hours.
- Precautions: Use with caution in elderly patients and those with renal or hepatic impairment. Avoid use in children under 1 year of age.
- Monitoring: Regularly monitor for any side effects such as drowsiness, restlessness, or extrapyramidal symptoms, and report them to your healthcare provider.
