EPDM gaskets are often used in weatherproof seals, and as a source of noise reduction in the automotive industry. EPDM rubber is an excellent source for rubber gaskets and sealing against atmospheric conditions such as sunlight, ozone, wind and rain. EPDM gaskets can withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to 120°C.
EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber gaskets are recommended for service to resist animal and vegetable oils, ozone, strong and oxidizing chemicals.
EPDM Gaskets are used in sealing environments that are not exposed to petroleum oils, gasoline, kerosene, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, halogenated solvents, and concentrated acids petroleum oils or dilutions of hydrocarbons, di-ester base lubricants, or high concentrations of chlorine or sodium hypochlorite.
EPDM Gaskets have excellent tear and abrasion resistance and is chemically resistant to a large variety of acids, alkalis, alcohol, and oxidants.
Applications:
irrigation, water treatment, commercial swimming pool / water features, select industrial, process piping, chilled water systems, and more.
