Renitec 20mg is indicated for the treatment of:
Essential Hypertension: All grades of high blood pressure
Renovascular Hypertension: High blood pressure due to narrowing of the arteries leading to the kidneys
Congestive Heart Failure: All degrees of symptomatic heart failure
Left Ventricular Dysfunction: Prevention of symptomatic heart failure in patients with asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction (ejection fraction ≤35%)
Adults:
Essential Hypertension: Initially, 10 mg once daily. Maintenance dose: 20 mg once daily. Maximum dose: 40 mg daily.
Renovascular Hypertension: Initiate with a lower starting dose (e.g., ≤5 mg) and adjust accordingly to the patient's needs.
Heart Failure: Initially, 2.5 mg administered under close medical supervision. May be increased gradually to 20 mg in single or two divided doses over a 2-4 week period.
Left Ventricular Dysfunction: Initially, 2.5 mg administered under close medical supervision.
May be taken with or without food.
If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce irritation.
Take at the same time each day to help remember.
Do not take more than the prescribed dose.
Store below 25°C.
Keep in a dry place.
