Indications:
Dipeptiven is used as part of an intravenous parenteral nutrition regimen to supplement amino acid solutions or an amino acid-containing infusion regimen. It is particularly beneficial for patients in hypercatabolic and/or hypermetabolic states, such as those with multiple injuries, burns, severe infections, or major surgeries.
Instructions:
- Dosage: The dosage depends on the patient's body weight and the severity of the catabolic state. Typically, the dose is 1.5-2.5 ml/kg body weight per day.
- Administration: Dipeptiven should be mixed with a compatible amino acid carrier solution or an amino acid-containing infusion regimen. It is administered intravenously, usually through a central vein.
