Asthma: For regular treatment of asthma in patients where use of a combination (inhaled corticosteroid and long-acting β -adrenoceptor agonist) is appropriate.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): For symptomatic treatment of patients with COPD with FEV <70% predicted normal (post-bronchodilator) and a history of exacerbations despite regular bronchodilator therapy.
Preparation: Hold the inhaler between your thumb and index finger, and shake it gently.
Administration:
Remove the mouthpiece cover.
Breathe out fully.
Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and close your lips around it.
While breathing in slowly and deeply, press the canister firmly to release the medication.
Hold your breath for as long as is comfortable.
Repeat the process if a second inhalation is prescribed
Post-Use Care:
Replace the mouthpiece cover.
Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out to reduce the risk of oral thrush.
Cleaning: Clean the mouthpiece at least once a week with a dry cloth. Do not immerse the inhaler in water.
