Part can be used for Mercedes-Benz C-Class W202/ W203, CLK-Class C208/ C209, CLS-Class C219, E-Class W210/ W211, S-Class W220/ C215, SL-Class R129/ R230/ R170 and M-Class W163/ W164 with V6/ V8 engine (M112/ M113).
Fit the new water pump with new gasket hand-tight. Ensure the pump is properly aligned and then tighten the fastening screws down to the specified torque.
No additional sealant should be applied during installation. Otherwise, it will forms a bead on the inner section of the casting, this is removed with coolant flow and becomes wrapped around the rotating pump shaft between the housing and the impeller. Eventually will causes the component failure.
