• Active Ingredient: Enoxaparin Sodium 2000 IU (20 mg) per 0.2 ml
Indications:
Vaxcel Enoxaparin Sodium is used for:
• Prophylaxis of venous thromboembolic disease in moderate and high-risk surgical patients, especially those undergoing orthopedic or general surgery, including cancer surgery.
• Prevention of thrombus formation in extracorporeal circulation during hemodialysis.
• Treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), excluding PE likely to require thrombolytic therapy or surgery.
• Extended treatment of DVT and PE and prevention of its recurrence in patients with active cancer.
• Acute coronary syndrome: Management of acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) including patients to be managed medically.
Instructions:
• Prophylaxis in surgical patients: Administer 2000 IU (20 mg) 2 hours before surgery. For moderate-risk patients, continue treatment for 7-10 days1. For high-risk patients, administer 4000 IU (40 mg) once daily, preferably starting 12 hours before surgery.
• Extended prophylaxis: For major orthopedic surgery, continue up to 5 weeks.
• DVT and PE treatment: Dosage should be individualized based on patient condition and healthcare professional's recommendation.
