Each 5 mL of EVOFEN Suspension contains:
Ibuprofen: 100 mg
Indications:
Pain Relief: Used to relieve mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, muscle aches, and minor arthritis pain.
Fever Reduction: Used to reduce fever associated with cold and flu.
Anti-inflammatory: Used to reduce inflammation in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
Instructions:
Dosage:
- Adults: 2 teaspoons (10 mL) or 4 teaspoons (20 mL) (equivalent to 200 mg or 400 mg of Ibuprofen) 4 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 2400 mg Ibuprofen in divided doses.
- Children: The dosage is based on the child's weight. The usual dose is 20-30 mg per kilogram body weight in divided doses. The doses should be given approximately every 6-8 hours (or with a minimum of 4 hours between each dose if required).
- 10-12 years old: 3 teaspoons (15 mL) (equivalent to 300 mg of Ibuprofen) 3 times daily.
- 7-9 years old: 2 teaspoons (10 mL) (equivalent to 200 mg of Ibuprofen) 3 times daily.
- 4-6 years old: 1.5 teaspoons (7.5 mL) (equivalent to 150 mg of Ibuprofen) 3 times daily.
- 1-3 years old: 1 teaspoon (5 mL) (equivalent to 100 mg of Ibuprofen) 3 times daily.
- 6 months - 1 year old: 0.5 teaspoon (2.5 mL) (equivalent to 50 mg of Ibuprofen) 3-4 times daily.
- 3-6 months (weighing more than 5 kg): 0.5 teaspoon (2.5 mL) (equivalent to 50 mg of Ibuprofen) 3 times daily.
Administration: Shake the bottle well before use. Measure the dose with a proper measuring device/spoon. It can be taken with or without food, but taking it with food or milk can help prevent stomach upset.
