- Entecavir Sandoz® is used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B infection in adults who show signs of active viral replication and either elevated liver enzymes (ALT/AST) or liver inflammation/damage.
It is effective for:
Adults not previously treated with nucleoside analogues
Adults with lamivudine-resistant hepatitis B with compensated liver disease
Typical Adult Dose: 0.5 mg once daily, with or without food
Dose for Lamivudine-Resistant or Decompensated Liver Disease: 1 mg once daily
How to Take: Swallow tablet whole with water. Do not chew, crush, or split the tablet.
