Entecavir Sandoz® Film-Coated Tablet 0.5mg contains the active ingredient entecavir monohydrate. Each tablet contains 0.5 mg of entecavir.
Indications:
Entecavir Sandoz is used for the treatment of:
Chronic Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) Infection: In adults with evidence of active viral replication and either evidence of persistent elevations in serum aminotransferases (ALT or AST) or histologically active disease.
Instructions:
Dosage:
Nucleoside-naive patients: The recommended dose is 0.5 mg orally once daily with or without food.
Lamivudine-refractory patients: The recommended dose is 1 mg once daily. Entecavir should be taken on an empty stomach (at least 2 hours before or after a meal).
Decompensated liver disease: The recommended dose is 1 mg once daily, taken on an empty stomach.
Administration:
Take the tablet with a full glass of water.
It can be taken with or without food, but for lamivudine-refractory patients and those with decompensated liver disease, it should be taken on an empty stomach.
Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the regular time. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
