Description
8" MACHINE VICE WITH SWIVEL BASE
Atlas? Swivel Base Vices
Plain jaw milling machine vices are used for holding work that has parallel sides. The swivel base is graduated in degrees and allows the vice to swivel in the horizontal plane. The swivel base gives the vice a greater degree of versatility, but should be avoided when carrying out heavy rough cutting operations because it reduces the rigidity of the setup. Manufactured in accordance with stringent quality criteria and moving parts are tested for parallelism and perpendicularity in no less than eight tests - all to minute tolerances. All models are designed for milling, planing and drilling applications and are available with or without swivel bases.
