Our founder Matthew Gloag sought out the employees and suppliers with the perfect blend of skills and expertise. And it was these people who came together to create the Grouse brand.
We still bring together the finest grains, pure Scottish water and carefully seasoned sherry and bourbon casks to create our uniquely rich, rounded and sweet whisky.
This Famous Grouse is extra matured in Sherry casks Oak first. Famous Grouse Sherry Cask finish has aromas of cocoa, sherry, cherry and light oak. Sweet on the tongue by shades of Jerez, herbs and some fruit.
The aftertaste is full of flavor with hints of chocolate and spices. In the mouth tastes like sherry, fruits and herbs, very sweet on the tongue. In aftertaste bodied with touches of chocolate and spices.
