Each tablet contains:
Famotidine: 40 mg
Indications:
Benign Gastric Ulcer: Treatment of benign gastric ulcers.
Duodenal Ulcer: Treatment and prevention of duodenal ulcers.
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Treatment of GERD and prevention of relapse of symptoms and ulceration.
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other hypersecretory conditions.
Instructions:
Dosage:
-Benign Gastric Ulcer: One 40 mg tablet at night for 4 to 8 weeks.
-Duodenal Ulcer: One 40 mg tablet at night for 4 to 8 weeks. If complete healing is not achieved at 4 weeks, a further 4 weeks of therapy is advised.
-GERD: One 20 mg tablet twice a day for 6 to 12 weeks. If associated with esophageal erosion or ulceration, one 40 mg tablet twice a day for 6 to 12 weeks.
-Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Therapy-naive patients should start with one 20 mg tablet every 6 hours. The dosage should then be adjusted based on the patient's response. Daily doses of up to 800 mg have been used without significant adverse effects.
Administration: Take the tablet with a sufficient amount of fluid (e.g., water). It can be taken with or without food.
