Cefalexin
Indication
Cephalexin 250 MG Capsule is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is used to treat infections of the skin, ear, bone and urinary tract. Use with caution if you have a known disease. Do not take this medicine if you have a known allergy to penicillins and cephalosporins group of antibiotics.
Instruction
Take Cephalexin 250 MG Capsule with or without food. Do not take in larger amounts than advised. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable effects. Do not stop taking Cephalexin 250 MG Capsule before completion of course.
Drug interaction
Inform your doctor about all medications you take and especially about live vaccines, probenecid. Cephalexin may decrease the effectiveness of combination-type contraceptive pills. This medication is able to show false positive results with certain diabetic urine testing products. Cephalexin increases effects of indirect anticoagulants, polphenilbutazone, furocemide. Salicylates and indomethacin slow excretion of cephalolexin by kidneys. Medications decreasing secretion in renal tubules increase concentration of the medication blood serum and slow down its excretion.
