Indication
Pharmaniaga Cetirizine Syrup (cetirizine) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.
Pharmaniaga Cetirizine Syrup is used to treat cold or allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, or runny nose.
Pharmaniaga Cetirizine Syrup is also used to treat itching and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives).
Pharmaniaga Cetirizine Syrup may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Instruction
Take Pharmaniaga Cetirizine Syrup exactly as directed on the label, or as your doctor has prescribed. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Pharmaniaga Cetirizine Syrup is usually taken twice per day. Follow your doctor's instructions.
Measure liquid form of Pharmaniaga Cetirizine Syrup with a special dose-measuring spoon or cup, not a regular table spoon. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask your pharmacist for one.
Drug interaction
Pharmaniaga Cetirizine syrup interacts with such medication as: Muscle relaxants such as Valium and Soma Pain-relieving narcotics such as codeine, Demerol, and Percocet Sedatives such as Nembutal, Seconal, and phenobarbital Sleeping pills such as Halcion, Restoril, and Ambien High doses of theophylline (Theo-Dur) Antidepressants such as Tofranil, Elavil, Ludiomil, and Anafranil Also note that interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. As usual it affects the effect of drugs, so consult with your doctor about how it interactions are being managed or should be managed.
