Sildenafil citrate
Indication
Erectile dysfunction.
Instruction
May be taken with or without food.Adult 50 mg approx 1 hr before sexual activity, may be increased to max dose 100 mg once daily or decreased to 25 mg once daily. CrCl <30 mL/min & hepatic impairment 25 mg once daily.
Drug interaction
Potentiated hypotensive effects of organic nitrates. Enhanced hypotensive effect of nicorandil. Symptomatic hypotension w/ α-blockers. Reduced clearance w/ cimetidine, delavirdine, erythromycin, itraconazole, ketoconazole & HIV-PIs. Increased plasma conc by ritonavir & grapefruit juice. Decreased plasma conc by CYP3A4 inducers eg, rifampicin.
