Temozolomide
Indication
Newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme concomitantly w/ radiotherapy & adjuvant treatment. Malignant glioma eg, glioblastoma multiforme or anaplastic astrocytoma, showing recurrence or progression after standard therapy.
Instruction
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take at least 1 hr before meals.Swallowwhole, do not open/chew. Avoid contact of the powder contents w/ skin or mucous membranes if cap is damaged.
Drug interaction
Valproic acid, other myelosuppressive agents.
