Per 10 mL Na alginate 1,000 mg, K bicarbonate 200 mg
Indication
Heartburn, indigestion, hiatus hernia, reflux oesophagitis. Symptomatic treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux eg, acid regurgitation, heartburn, indigestion due to the reflux of stomach contents, for instance, after gastric surgery as a result of hiatus hernia, during pregnancy or accompanying reflux oesophagitis.
Instruction
Should be taken with food: Take after meals & at bedtime.
Drug interaction
A time-interval of 2 hours should be considered between Gaviscon intake and the administration of other medicinal products, especially tetracyclines, digoxine, fluoroquinolone, iron salt, ketoconazole, neuroleptics, thyroid hormones, penicillamine, beta-blockers (atenolol, metoprolol, propanolol), glucocorticoid, chloroquine, biphosphonates (diphosphonates) and estramustine.
